Taken from Gears 5, developed by The Coalition and published by Xbox Game Studios. I'm not affiliated with the development team, it's a fan project that I did in my spare time to practice work with lighting and post-processing. Everything is done in-game with camera tools by Frans Bouma for composing. All additional post-processing and color grading are done via ReShade.
This game was made on a custom version of Unreal Engine 4, which made it very difficult to work with. I admire the effort and all those tricks that developers did to keep a good performance with such great visuals. But in most cases, unlocking and moving camera was completely breaking post-processing and particles, especially in cutscenes and during combat. That's why I didn't take as much action shots as I would have loved to. No hotsampling support either, so to capture high-resolution renders, I had to replay this game at 5K with maxed settings at 7-10FPS average. I enjoyed Gears 5, but it's probably one of the most difficult that I worked with to date. There's still half of the campaign left, but I'm not sure if I'll have time to complete it in the near future.
